This month's freebie and other notes

This month’s freebie is the prologue to one my DISHONORED novels, THE DAUGHTER OF HACHIMAN, which is basically “Robin Hood in the first half and Braveheart in the second half.” Imagine if Robin Hood got captured and killed halfway through the story and then Maid Marian went on a rampage of vengeance against the Sheriff of Nottingham. That’s basically the story.

I’ve been watching Shogun so maybe that had something to do with why it was on my mind. Also, later this year I’m going to be returning to the world of DISHONORED, writing my fifth book in the series, THE LAST SON OF YUMEA, so I’m going need to refresh my memory on all the ins and outs of the world.

Right now, however, I’m neck-deep in Proverbs, finishing up the commentary on Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon. I hope to be done with it later this Spring. Once that’s done, I promised my son a sequel either to FROGGY WENT A-COURTIN’ or 20K LIGHTYEARS FROM EARTH. I’ve got ideas for both but only time for one of them this year. That’ll be my summer project. Dishonored will be my Fall/Winter novel.
