Update on DEBRIS publishing, and Psalms writing
I’m trying something different with this one. Amazon recently launched Kindle Vella, which allows writers to publish their stories episodically. As a result, since I’ve just completed the first seven chapters of DEBRIS, I decided to submit the book as a Vella novel, releasing two chapters a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting next week.
I’ve still got a ways to go before the book is done (it’ll be around the beginning of November), but Lord willing, I’ll stay far enough ahead to maintain that publishing schedule. I anticipate the final chapter launching in early December, in fact.
Work on the Psalms commentary continues at a slow but steady pace. This is one of biggest books of the Bible I’ve ever tackled (Jeremiah is a hair bigger, and the combined study of Matthew-Luke was a massive undertaking), but it’s been very rewarding, and I still anticipate being done by the end of the year. I’ll finish out the winter months (Jan-March of 2024) completing Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon, Lord willing. After that, I go the beginning and tackle Genesis!
I have something else I’m cooking up that I hope to finish by the end of year, but I’ll save more on that for later.
