FROGGY WENT A-COURTIN is done!
What a fun book this was to write. The final draft ended up being a little over 46k words, making it the largest of my children’s stories. I also did 50 pieces of artwork for the book, the most I’ve done for a children’s book so far.
I didn’t anticipate sequels but, as with the writing of Chumpty Dumpty, ideas came to me during the development and seeds were planted that, if I get the itch, can be watered in later books. I don’t have any plans now, but there’s a new folder created on my computer for putting in ideas should something ever strike me. Who knows, maybe in a couple years I’ll get around to it.
In the meantime, I have GLIMMERS OF HOPE, the verse by verse commentary on Ezekiel, to finish. It’s a two-volume set and I hope to finish the first half later this month, with part two being done sometime around Thanksgiving.
In terms of more fantasy writing, I am taking the rest of May and all of June off, other than doing some outlining and drafting (and, knowing me, some artwork) for the books I will be tackling in the second half of 2021.
In July, August, and September, I will be working on the next three books in the twelve-part A CENTURY OF WIND, FIRE, AND WATER series. After that, I will finally get to write DISHONORED, a book I’ve been tinkering with and developing for almost two years now.
Froggy will be up in the bookstore within a day or two.
Until then!
