2025 PLANS

A new year means new writing projects. I have a new FREEBIE for January uploaded now, entitled GURNEY, THE REDNECK FAIRY. It’s (eventually) going to be a full-length novel, but I wrote a simplified version of the story now to give me something to work with in a few years when I get around to writing the whole thing.

On the secular front, I have three books planned for this year. First is a new installment in the Billy Richmond series, entitled BILLY RICHMOND AND THE UPSIDE-DOWN STAMP BRIGADE. The story follows Billy and his friends as he visits a national park forest in search of a buried treasure. At the same time, he must contend with the ruthless Upside-Down Stamp Brigade as they seek the loot for themselves.

Later this year, I hope to write a new fantasy novel entitled THE LONG kNIGHT, about an old warrior in a mythical kingdom, forced into retirement by the newly crowned King. Toiling in boredom and bitterness, he stumbles upon secrets of a conspiracy that threatens to destroy his beloved homeland. Driven at last by a challenge and a purpose, he sets out on his quest (aided by colorful companions he meets along the way) to save the Kingdom before the worst happens.

Finally, at the end of the year, I hope to write the first in a trilogy of sci-fi books. The first is entitled JOURNEY INTO EARTH, and is about explorers and scientists being forced to abandon their plans to fly across the solar system to Europa, when a shocking discovery is made within the earth’s core. The book is inspired by my love (since childhood) of books and movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Time Machine, and Fantastic Voyage. It’ll be followed up with a sequel entitled JOURNEY INTO EUROPA, and JOURNEY INTO ENDLESS SPACE.

On the spiritual front, I am soon to resume my commentary on Genesis, after which I will begin Exodus, and hopefully complete Leviticus before the end of the year. I can see the finish line up ahead and though it is still a few years away, I’m close enough to being finished with these commentaries that I can almost taste it!

Here’s to a year of adventure, escapism, and spiritual enrichment!
