bits I’m working on (and stuff already out)

2024 PLANS!

The new year has come and so has my itch to start writing again. After taking the holidays off, I’m ready to dig into three new commentaries and four new fictional books.

Tentatively, my schedule for this year will see me begin work on THE INVENTOR, a science-fiction novel adapted from a short story I wrote last year (this month’s freebie). The novel will carry over a lot of the same basic ideas, but with an entirely new middle section that takes the story in some directions I never anticipated when I first wrote the short story. I’m excited to write it and hope it turns out okay. Time always tells.

After that, I hope to pen a pair of sequels to two children’s stories I wrote a few years back: 20K LIGHTYEARS FROM EARTH, and FROGGY WENT A-COURTIN’. I hope to finish 20K AND THE MADNESS OF CAPTAIN ARLO in the early summer, followed by FROGGY II: THE MERC AND THE MAIDEN. Once those are done, around mid-Autumn, I plan on (finally) working on the next book in the DISHONORED series, THE LAST SON OF YUMEA.

On the spiritual side, work is about to begin on WISE WORDS, a verse-by-verse commentary on Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon. That should take me until mid-May, after which I will dive into IN THE BEGINNING, a verse-by-verse commentary on Genesis. I’m only going to write about the first eleven chapters, however, after which I will pause and spend the rest of the year on THE POSTER CHILD, a verse-by-verse commentary on Job.

God willing, it will be a busy but rewarding 2024.

Here’s to it!
